You might think you are off the hook;
You’ve done your bad deed and escaped it.
You might think that all that you took,
Will be forgotten after the bate was bit!
You might believe that sleep will come easy,
That your dreams will cut you some slack!
You might believe that you can be sleazy,
And that your bad deeds will never ride your back!
You might smile, laugh and be merry,
As if the pain you caused was a fading tune.
You might think: There’s no need to worry,
From life’s hits you are so damn immune!
Silly you, thinking that you are fast;
Faster than your inner demons,
The demons will come, and that’s a fact,
And there will be no escape from your demons!
