When I read Kafka’s Metamorphosis,
I, so innocently thought, there was hope for you!
I mean if he could change into a fly,
Then you might have a shot at changing too!

But again, I was wrong, just as I am about you all the time!

Don’t change; stay as you are,
I gave up,
I’ve come this far!

Don’t change; this outfit fits you fine,
I hate it,
But who cares; you were never mine!

Don’t change; wear that empty face,
I won’t,
I carry my emotions with grace!

Don’t change; your daggers are fine right there,
You don’t care,
And I don’t care!
